GLP-1 guides
Questions change as you consider treatment, begin a prescription or plan ongoing care. These guides explain medication basics, everyday eating, progress and product differences. Use them to prepare questions for a licensed clinician or pharmacist, with the instructions for your own prescription taking priority over a general overview.
Start here
Before an appointment, identify the question you most need answered. The weight loss medication overview introduces prescription options, while the weight loss eligibility guide explains why medical history matters. Write down the product names you have seen advertised and bring a current medication list. An information page can help you prepare, but it cannot decide which treatment is appropriate for you.
Once treatment is prescribed, practical questions become more specific. Our first month treatment guide covers preparation and follow-up. Keep the pharmacy instructions available and ask who to contact about symptoms, missed doses or an unexpected change in packaging. A different strength, device or tablet can require different instructions even when a familiar medication name appears on the label.
For ongoing care, the GLP-1 nutrition guide addresses eating when appetite changes. Keep notes on questions about food, activity, affordability and progress for the next visit. The most useful reading is the material that helps resolve your current uncertainty; there is no need to treat every guide as a checklist to complete before seeking care.
How to use them
Start with how the medication actually works. Most of the confusion downstream comes from skipping this.
Dosing and titration, so you know what is coming and can tell a normal week from a problem.
Nutrition and protein matter more on a GLP-1 than off one, because appetite drops and intake falls with it.
Timelines and stopping. Both are easier to handle if you read them at the start rather than at month nine.

Where general education helps and where an individual answer is needed.
Read the dosing one before my appointment and actually understood what was being proposed. Made the whole conversation shorter and better.
The protein guidance was the part I had completely missed. Wish I had read it in month one rather than month five.
Honest about the fact that it is not a straight line. I nearly stopped at week six before reading it.
The one on stopping is uncomfortable reading and it should be. Better to know before starting than after.
