Eligibility check
Finding out whether medication could fit your health needs begins with the right questions. This Las Vegas eligibility guide connects BMI, diagnosed conditions, medication precautions and coverage information. Use it to prepare for a conversation with a licensed clinician and to identify which details need checking before you choose a provider or pay for a program.
The thresholds
Start with the reason you are considering treatment and the health information you already have. Height, weight, previous treatment and current diagnoses can all inform the conversation. The BMI requirements guide explains common adult screening criteria and their limits. A calculator result alone cannot establish which prescription, if any, is appropriate for you.
Next, identify the medical details that deserve a closer look. Our weight-related health conditions page explains how diagnoses can affect the assessment. A separate GLP-1 precautions guide introduces histories to raise with the clinician. The proposed product matters because approved uses, warnings and age limits can differ, including between formulations of the same brand.
Finally, establish what happens after that conversation. Ask who makes the prescribing decision, what follow-up would involve and which charges apply if treatment is not recommended. Check weight loss insurance coverage separately with your plan. A clinical recommendation and a coverage decision answer different questions, so one should never be presented as confirmation of the other. Keep the written quote and follow-up arrangements for reference.
The check
Height and weight give the BMI. It is a blunt number and it is only the first gate, not the decision.
Any weight-related diagnosis matters, both for whether you qualify at a lower BMI and for how the plan is built.
Personal and family history, and everything you already take. This is where a GLP-1 gets ruled out if it is going to be.
Either you are a candidate and the plan is explained, or you are not and you are told why, along with what else is reasonable.

Where to begin, how products differ and what this information can establish.
Straightforward questions and no card. Found out in about two minutes that it was worth booking, which is all I wanted.
My BMI was 28 and I assumed that was a no. Turned out the sleep apnea diagnosis mattered, which nobody had ever mentioned to me.
Told me clearly that a family history item needed checking before anything. Slower than I hoped but I understood why.
They separated out "you qualify" from "your plan will pay", which nobody else had done. Made the cost conversation much simpler.
